Get In The Mood For Halloween

Image
The Spooky Season is upon us. The nights are drawing in, and Fall is here. Spider webs will soon be strung amongst the bare bushes bedecked with raindrops. Murky morning mists will soon replace the sound of summer birdsong. It is all getting rather dark and dank. Tradition says it is the time when the dead rise out of their graves and walk the earth. Halloween is a decisive turning point in the year. As well as all the spooky horror stuff, it is said to signify the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. It is the time of year to let go of the negative energy that might be holding you back and celebrate the new energy that will replace it. If you don’t find it easy to get into the Halloween mood, here are a few ideas to get you started. Lantern Carving Even the most avowed Halloween detractor cannot help but enjoy the skill and beauty of a skillfully carved Jack O’ Lantern. The humble pumpkin turned into the most stunning forms or just a grinning globe to keep away malign spirits. You c...

Friday Faves

Image
Hi friends! Happy weekend! What do you have going on? We have an event for the girls’ school and I’m looking forward to teaching barre and hopefully catching a hike. The weather has been a dream this week! I’d love to hear what you’re up to. I also wanted to add a little note that I’m praying for safety for my friends in Hurricane Ian’s path. <3 It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the comments section below. A random note: I ended up canceling our fall break trip to NYC. We have a lot of reasons for deciding to postpone the trip, but decided we’d rather do a Disney cruise in the new year instead. When I told the kids, they were SO pumped, so I know we made the right choice! I’m also kind of glad that fall break will be more low-key, especially since we’re heading into the Pilot’s birthday, P’s birthday, Hal...

Whatever your goals may be, CoolSculpting can help! CoolSculpting is a non-invasive procedure that helps people achieve their body goals without surgery. CoolSculpting is most effective in treating areas of stubborn fat, such as love handles, belly fat, and thigh fat. During a CoolSculpting treatment, a gel pad and applicator are placed on the area of treatment. The applicator delivers controlled cooling to the area, causing the un...

Image
Healthcare has been changing rapidly over the last few years amid the pandemic. From in-person appointments to telehealth, the healthcare landscape has shifted to meet patients’ needs better. One of the most significant changes has been the increased use of telehealth. Telehealth uses digital information and communication technologies, such as computers and mobile devices, to access healthcare services remotely. This allows patients to receive care from providers without traveling to a healthcare facility. In this article, Sherief Abu-Moustafa shares a few ways telehealth has changed how people access healthcare. 1. Accessibility Telehealth can improve access to care in several ways. First, it can help providers in rural or underserved areas reach more patients. These areas are often far from healthcare facilities, making it difficult for residents to get the care they need. Easy Meal Planning for Busy Moms

Image
Sharing some tips for easy meal planning for the busy moms out there + a template you can use. Hi friends! How’s the day going so far? I hope you’re having a good morning! I’m getting things ready for Fit Team ( join us here and get your new workouts on the 28th!) and have a podcast interview later today. Thank you so much for letting me know that you enjoy the old school more conversational type blog posts. I will definitely add them more frequently into the content rotation. For today post, I wanted to chat a bit about meal planning because it is SAVIN.OUR.BACON right now. (Time-wise and money-wise!) We are in the thick of evening activities and events, and if I don’t know what we’re going to eat, it leads to random hodge lodge meals or takeout. It’s absolutely worth sitting down each week to plan our meals (at least our dinners) and making a list for one big grocery stop. Taking some time to meal plan each week takes the guesswork and last-minute dinner stress out of the equatio...

Common Features of Scandinavian Home

Image
Characterized by a minimal and clean approach, Scandinavian design is an approach that looks to combine both functionality and beauty. There is an emphasis on functionality and the stripping away of anything unnecessary. The style emerged in the 1950s with the establishment of The Lunning Prize, which was awarded to Scandinavian designers over the next twenty years. Due to the popularity of the style, Scandinavian design is still a source of inspiration for interior design today. Common Features There are several common features that can be found in Scandinavian homes. Hygge A key design component of Scandinavian design is comfort; it’s referred to as Hygge . The term can be difficult to translate, but ultimately it means a feeling of coziness and comfort. It is a pillar characteristic of Scandinavian design and can be easily achieved by adding throw pillows, throw blankets, plush sofas, and soft rugs. Simple Scandinavian design is also minimal, following the mantra, “Less is m...

Is Your Husband Addicted To Prescription Drugs?

Image
Prescription drugs are a staple in any household. Millions upon millions up and down the country require a prescription to stay healthy, and those pills are prescribed with a strict dosage from a trained professional. However, today there’s a real problem with prescription drug addiction, and rehab centres are seeing a large shift from people addicted to the likes of cocaine or cannabis, to more commonly found prescription drugs, most notably opioids. And it’s not just among older people either, many young professionals and even teenagers are suffering from it. It could happen to anyone, and many families are suffering. That’s leading to many fears that our husbands or partners may be suffering from such addiction, particularly if they have been on prescription drugs for some time. But how do you know if they are addicted? You won’t be number one priority Firstly, you may start to notice that they aren’t as loving towards you or you’re not getting the same sort of affection that ...

around the weekend

Image
Hi friends! How was the weekend? I hope you had an amazing one. This blog post is a way to bring it back old school and share some more real-life adventures. Quite a few of you let me know that you missed the style of blogging from the past (I do, too!) so I’m trying to do it in a way that’s low-key and still focused on my experience, instead of the kids’ experience if that makes sense? It can be tricky because the kids are obviously a huge part of my life (and by far the most exciting and such an enjoyable part of my life). I’m still trying to navigate blogging in a way that feels authentic to me without overdoing it on kid content, while continuing to create value-driven posts, too. If you guys enjoy this and want more everyday-style posts, let me know! This weekend was a wild one and packed with so many fun adventures. Friday night, we went to a local fall festival with the fam. My dad, stepmom, aunt, cousins, Kyle and Meg, and their kiddos were all there. We also ran into so ma...

How to Stay Fresh All Day

Image
What constitutes a decent perfume for you actually depends on your own preferences. One person’s concept of smelling wonderful would be to enter each area with an enchanted canopy of delicate French scent. For someone else, it can mean not having body odor after a strenuous day at work that causes them to perspire. We’ll show you how to apply it and make it last all day, whether you want to smell like perfume or simply like your healthy, natural self. Make your fragrance or perfume last A little fragrance goes a long way. Applying it properly can help you make the most of the scent. Apply it to pulse points. This will allow the scent to mix naturally with your body chemistry. As your body heats up, the scent will be activated and released. Resist the urge to rub the fragrance into the skin. Use a roll-on version. A rollerball is a great way to get the scent exactly where you want it without over-spraying. It’s also more affordable than a bottled version of your favorite perfume...

Diseases Affecting Women More Often Than Men

Image
In civilized countries, the rights of women and men are equalized as much as possible but some diseases still show a small share of sexism. Women have to suffer from certain diseases more often because of certain features of the body (but the situation is saved by PillPal Online Pharmacy where you can buy medicines at attractive prices). We will tell you about these diseases. Remember that your health is the most precious thing you have and you are responsible for it. So be 100% sure about the medications you purchase. Self-treatment without proper knowledge and experience can harm you. Multiple sclerosis Multiple sclerosis is a disease of the central nervous system. Women are 2 to 3 times more likely to suffer from this disease. Doctors classify multiple sclerosis as an autoimmune disease, and since women have no specific antigen (a protein responsible for immunity to this disease), they are more at risk of getting multiple sclerosis. Most often this disease is diagnosed between...

Hi friends! Happy Friday! Before I head into the usual Friday Faves post, I wanted to send a huge hug and thank you to all of you for your wonderful messages, emails, texts, and comments about saying goodbye to sweet Caro. All of your lovely messages lifted us up during a hard week. I hope you know how much we appreciate you. While I was heartbroken over everything, I feel a sense of peace this week that she’s pain-free and hanging out with Bella and my Tata Gene. What do you have going on this weekend? It’s going to be a fun one over here. P has a birthday party, we’re headed to a fall festival, Liv’s friend is sleeping over, and we’re seeing Lion King . Whew! Packed as much fun as possible into the weekend. 🙂 I hope you have a great one ahead, too. A bright spot in the week: seeing Michael Bublé for the second time! The last time I saw him in concert was 2019, and it was a DREAM to see him again on Tuesday night. Madre watched the kiddos and the Pilot and I headed up to Phoeni...
