10.31 Friday Faves

10.31 Friday Faves Hi friends! Happy Friday and Happy Halloween! What are your plans tonight? Are you taking the kiddos trick-or-treating or going to any parties? We’re having tacos here at the house with my brother and some friends, trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, and I’m counting down until I can decorate for Christmas. We carved pumpkins and watched  Coco  last night: It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party. This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the comments section below. 10.31 Friday Faves Fashion + beauty + random: P’s 10th birthday! This little lady turned 10 this weekend and I can’t even believe. 10 hits hard! It feels like just yesterday that we were taking a hamburger piñata to the Kleigers’ in the middle of the night. ( Her birth story part 1 is here and part 2 is here! ) She’s athletic, brilliant, kind, inq...

5 online barre classes you must try

5 online barre classes you must try Sharing 5 online barre classes you must try and are a fun component to add to your fitness routine.  Hi friends! How are you? I hope that you’re enjoying the week! I’m meeting up with some friends, have client calls, and am taking a yoga class. For today, I wanted to talk about a workout format that has stood the test of time. It’s something that I’ve loved for many years and always come back to it as a staple in my routine: barre! I LOVE barre workouts because they give me a little reminder of my dance days of yore, they’re incredibly challenging, yet easier on the joints. There’s minimal impact and I feel like no matter what, I always get a good workout. There are so many great online barre options, so I wanted to share five of my top fives if you’re looking to get in some barre classes at home instead of in the studio. This is an excellent option for my perimenopause or menopause friends who are used to HIIT workouts, but want something t...

7-night Disney Dream Italy and Greece Mediterranean cruise

7-night Disney Dream Italy and Greece Mediterranean cruise Sharing a recap of our 7-night Mediterranean cruise (Italy and Greece) on the Disney Dream! This is not sponsored (I wish, lol), but I’m excited to share our experience.  They have a handy little trick when you’re on board a Disney cruise line ship: you have the option to book a placeholder for a future cruise at a slight discount. This way, when you get off the ship, it’s slightly less depressing because you know you’ll be on another one soon. We got off the Disney Dream in Rome a few weeks ago, and already, we can’t wait for our next Disney cruise. This was Disney cruise #4 (we’ve done Alaska , Bahamas /Caribbean, and Mexico ), first one in Europe, and it was our favorite one (so far! – this was written before our recent Disney cruise from Barcelona). It was a combination of the destinations plus the larger ship, which was a literal Dream full of Disney magic. (We also got to enjoy Rome on either side of our cruise! Y...

Fall juice date

Fall juice date Catching up with my internet besties for a little juice date.  Hi friends! How are you? I hope that you’re having a lovely week so far! I’m here back in homeschool and mom mode after my trip, but looking forward to catching a hot yoga class this afternoon. It’s been a little while since we’ve had a juice date, so I’d love to chat about what’s been going on and see what’s happening in your life! So grab your favorite drink and let’s catch up a bit, shall we?? If we were having juice right now… I’d want to hear about what you’ve been up to! Is fall crazy for you, too? What are your kids going to be for Halloween? Any fall or holiday travel plans? I have a trip to LA coming up in a couple of weeks that I’m looking forward to, and other than that, we don’t have any travel scheduled right now. (Side note: we’re hosting a meetup on November 13th so if you’re close to the Manhattan Beach area and would like to join, let me know, and I’ll send ya the details!) I lik...

Turkey Bacon Egg Cups (gluten-free, dairy free)

Turkey Bacon Egg Cups (gluten-free, dairy free) These turkey bacon egg muffin cups are a perfect make-ahead breakfast option for busy school mornings. You can have a healthy, protein-based breakfast on the table in 5 minutes with minimal prep, and they’re dairy free and gluten-free. Oh, and you’ll love the flavor. We’re definitely back into busy school morning mode around here. Let us rejoice the fact that we’ve made it a week without having to check in late at the office. Let’s see how long this lasts. Something that helps a ton: prepping as much as I can in advance. When I make dinner at night, I also take that time to pack lunches and snacks for the following day. Before we go to bed, I set out clothes (down to the socks and hair bows they’ll wear), water bottles, and backpacks, and make sure any paperwork or homework is in backpacks ready to go. For breakfast, things are as quick as possible around here. We do a lot of instant or baked oatmeal , omelets, breakfast cookies , pa...
