Our Favorite Holiday Recipes

Our Favorite Holiday Recipes From Nana’s Famous Egg Dish to Spiced Sangria and Bourbon Pecan Pie, these are our favorite holiday recipes that we enjoy every Christmas! Hi friends!! ‘Tis the season for festive eats and drinks. As we get closer to Christmas, I’m getting increasingly more excited to prepare our favorite holiday recipes and enjoy the holiday with family. While most of the time I aim to eat nourishing recipes with greens and protein and fresh wholesome ingredients (like these spa cuisine recipes ), I like to live by the 80/20 perspective, allowing plenty of space for special treats. I’m also a big believer of enjoying holidays, special food, and time spent together without worrying too much about what I’m eating. Year after year, we make a point to include several traditional-to-us recipes among the offerings at meal times. For example, it’s tradition to have Alton Brown’s Overnight Cinnamon Rolls on Christmas morning while opening presents. Making these comforting and...

Discover The World’s Smallest “Mountain” – The Mount Paltry

Discover The World’s Smallest “Mountain” – The Mount Paltry Move over Everest, there’s a new headline-grabber in town and it’s barely taller than you are. Mount Paltry has exploded on social media as the world’s smallest mountain , a tiny bump in Australia that has become internet-famous precisely because it looks… well, not very mountain-like at all. In a world obsessed with extreme hikes and record-breaking peaks, this modest mound has captured global attention by doing the exact opposite: being proudly underwhelming. Where on Earth Is Mount Paltry? Mount Paltry is described in viral posts as a miniature mountain in Australia, rising only a few metres above the surrounding land. It’s usually shown as a small, rounded rise in an otherwise flat landscape the kind of bump you might expect to call a hill, or even “just a bit of ground,” rather than a mountain. That’s exactly why people love it: the contrast between the dramatic title “world’s smallest mountain” and the very ordinar...

The simple phone setting that breaks your scrolling habit

The simple phone setting that breaks your scrolling habit If you feel glued to Instagram, TikTok or endless news feeds, you’re not alone. Designers intentionally use bright colors, red badges, and vibrant thumbnails to keep you tapping and scrolling. Color acts like a reward cue for your brain, making your phone feel exciting and hard to put down. Switching your phone to grayscale mode flips that script. Grayscale removes all color from your screen, turning everything black, white and gray. Suddenly: Apps look dull instead of delicious Notifications feel less urgent Scrolling loses its “just one more” allure And this isn’t just a TikTok hack it’s backed by actual science. Screen colors keep you hooked but grayscale takes the thrill out Several studies have now tested what happens when people switch to black-and-white screens: A college study found that using a grayscale display significantly reduced screen time, making phones feel less gratifying and easier to control. An...

Kenna Kennor, Britt Lower’s Husband, Quietly Leading a New Wave of Authentic Hair

Kenna Kennor, Britt Lower’s Husband, Quietly Leading a New Wave of Authentic Hair Kenna Kennor approaches hair the way a seasoned songwriter approaches melody—listening for hidden rhythms before striking a note. Long before many people recognized the name, the Scottish-born stylist was quietly reshaping how celebrities, creative insiders, and everyday clients thought about authenticity.  Today, thanks in part to his partnership with actress Britt Lower, Kennor has become a low-key icon of lived-in texture, proof that hair can look effortless yet intentional at the same time. While he prefers the back room to the spotlight, his influence is increasingly obvious every time a photo shoot leans into natural curls or a runway drops harsh symmetry in favor of soft movement. The Art of Listening Before Cutting Sit in Kennor’s chair, and the first thing he does is ask a question—usually about how a client wants to feel, not how they want to look. This subtle shift reframes the entire a...

12.6 Friday Faves

12.6 Friday Faves Hi friends! Happy weekend to ya! I’m posting my Friday Faves roundup a little late this week because it’s been a wild one. I took Liv and one of her best friends to the Katseye concert in Phoenix, (the girls had a BLAST) and then my niece was dropped off for a sleepover while her parents enjoyed a much-needed date night. We loved having her here so much. Ok, everyone except Maisey. She was very stressed that someone else was getting more attention than her lol. She slept like an angel in the pack n’ play in our room, and the girls had so much fun with her here. They already asked if it can become a weekly thing. What do you have going on this weekend? We got our Christmas tree last night, watched Home Alone and ate pizza, (one day I’ll have a curated matchy tree… and it might break my heart) and the rest of the weekend is filled with basketball games,  Moulin Rouge , NCL meeting and  Wicked: For Good (again! I can’t wait), and getting ready for th...

I’m SO excited to share this week’s episode with biological dentist Dr. Toni Engram , and this one is truly eye-opening. We talk about hidden dental infections, root canals, sealants, airway health, jaw development, cavitations, and what it really means to treat the root cause; not just the symptoms.
