The Pilot’s retirement ceremony and festivities

The Pilot’s retirement ceremony and festivities Sharing a recap of the Pilot’s retirement festivities. After just under 22 years in the Air Force, he’s done!  I’ve started this post a few times and have so much to say, so I ended up splitting it into two posts: a recap of the Pilot’s amazing military career and everything we did to celebrate + my thoughts and experience with the military wife life. This is a day we’ve been excited about for a while, and we are so grateful that so many friends and family were able to celebrate with us. A pic of so many people we love who came to celebrate with us: The Pilot retired a couple of weeks ago, and we had a whole weekend to celebrate this significant milestone. Family started flying in on Wednesday afternoon and evening, so we just caught up with drinks and Zinburger here at the house. Thursday, we had a family pickleball party at Corbett’s with tons of apps and some friendly pickleball competition. We came back here for dinner, and F...

Glamorous Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dresses in Beautiful Styles

Glamorous Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dresses in Beautiful Styles Did you know that over 67% of women in the U.S. wear a size 14 or larger? Yet, despite the demand, the fashion industry has been slow to provide elegant, well-fitting, and on-trend plus- size wedding guest dresses. Many women face limited choices, ill-fitting designs, and outdated silhouettes that fail to highlight their curves. Shopping for the perfect dress can feel like navigating a minefield either the options lack style, the fit is off, or the available dresses don’t align with the formality of the event. For years, plus-size women have been told to “hide” their curves instead of celebrating them. Traditional formalwear often lacks the structure, comfort, or aesthetic appeal needed to make plus-size wedding guests feel just as glamorous as their straight-size counterparts. The frustration of sifting through uninspiring racks, struggling with restrictive fabrics, or settling for ill- proportioned designs is all too fami...

January 2025 reads

January 2025 reads Sharing the books I read in January 2025 and if I’d recommend adding them to your collection. Hi friends! How are you? I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Ours was packed with fun events and this week, the kids are home from school for Rodeo Break. We’re going to enjoy some local adventures and I’m getting the finishing touches together for my new program, which launches next week. Stay tuned!! For today’s post, I wanted to share a recap of the books I read last month and if I’d recommend adding them to your collection. I was suprised by how my I enjoyed all most all of these and am happy to have found a bit of my reading mojo again in between studying for IHP3. January 2025 reads A Happy Pocket Full of Money I saw this recommended online and downloaded it immediately . I listened to the audio version, which I highly recommend, and can tell I’ll come back to it and listen often. This book is based on the power of wealth consciousness, teaching that true abundan...

Healthy homemade dog food recipe

Healthy homemade dog food recipe Sharing a recipe for healthy homemade dog food! Hi friends! How are ya? I hope that your day is going well! Today, I’m off to the kids’ school to volunteer and am looking forward to some time in the sauna blanket after a workout. It should be a pretty low-key day! For today’s post, I’m calling on all dog owners. I wanted to share Maisey’s latest obsession with you: homemade dog food. If you’re looking to upgrade what you feed your dog, this simple recipe is PACKED with nutrients and she goes crazy with it. (See the crazy eyes?? She’s INTO IT.) TBH, I always felt a little bad giving her packaged dog food because this creature LOVES fresh food. She’s constantly begging for scraps of broccoli and bell pepper (her two faves), has stolen an entire brisket off the counter (and ate it on our new white couch..), a whole chicken breast (bones and all, and thankfully didn’t get sick), as well as ramen and curry. But can you blame her? Knowing her flavor pro...

Recovering from a Workout Injury: Tips for Aging Women

Recovering from a Workout Injury: Tips for Aging Women Staying active is one of the best ways to maintain strength, flexibility, and overall health as you age. However, workout injuries can become more common and take longer to heal, making recovery a crucial part of maintaining an active lifestyle.  Aging bodies don’t bounce back as quickly as they once did, and ignoring the healing process can lead to long-term discomfort or chronic issues. This is particularly true for female athletes or women who work out. According to research, as they age, the risk of musculoskeletal injuries in these women increases. If you’ve experienced a workout injury, whether it’s a strained muscle or something more serious, taking the right steps toward recovery is essential. The goal is not just to heal but to regain strength, prevent further injuries, and continue living a vibrant, active life. For aging women who work out, here are a few tips for recovering from a workout injury.  Prioriti...

2.14 Friday Faves (and Happy Valentine’s Day)

2.14 Friday Faves (and Happy Valentine’s Day) Hi friends! Happy Friday and Happy Valentine’s Day! What are your plans? We’re having a lovely dinner with our two little Valentines and the rest of the weekend we have a Bridal shower, a fun charity event, and a couple of P’s basketball games. Next week is Rodeo Break, the kids are off school, and I can’t wait. I’m also working my way through my IHP3 certifictaion and loving it.  To be honest, I’ve been in a little bit of a funk since the New Year. I’ve been so motivated and excited behind the scenes, especially because my new program launch in a couple of weeks (!), but it’s been WILD around here with birthdays, travel, and straight into retirement festivities. It’s all been fun stuff, but I’m still trying to find my groove. We’ll get there đŸ˜‰ With my Valentine… and his Valentine: Of course, I can’t celebrate Valentine’s Day without thinking of Bella. I know she sent Maisey just for us, but I still miss her like crazy and we stil...
