How to Upgrade Your Wardrobe for Spring

Spring is traditionally a time for renewal, so it makes sense for that to extend to your wardrobe. If you have been slinking around in heavy woolen sweaters and tracksuit bottoms all winter and feel ready to embrace the warmer weather, we have some tips to help you give your wardrobe a spring makeover. Read on to learn more.

Out with the Old

The first step is to clear out old items that you no longer wear or don’t fit properly. We are all guilty of hoarding clothes that we don’t wear, often in sizes that don’t fit, purely because we think “I might wear that again one day”. Trust us, you won’t. Clothing is relegated to the back of the wardrobe for a reason. If you haven’t worn a garment for at least 12 months, it is time to get rid of it.

Bag up items you don’t want and either donate them to a local charity store or sell them online. Try to keep hold of classic items, like white shirts, plain tees, jeans, and denim shorts if they still fit. These items won’t go out of fashion and can be worn with newer, more trendy tops and bottoms.

Once you have made room in your wardrobe, you can go shopping for new items. Be sure to keep your fashion budget in check by looking for coupons and voucher codes. These will save you money on new purchases.

Research the Latest Trends

There are lots of ways to add a touch of pizazz to your wardrobe, just in time for spring, but to avoid looking out of season or like a reject from the wrong decade, make sure you know what the latest trends are all about.

Paying close attention to the fashion on the catwalks is a good start. What shows up on the catwalks usually filters down to the high street within six months or so. Spring catwalk fashions tell us that trench coats and ballet flats are in while blanket coats are out. Bomber jackets and oversized tote bags are also hot this spring, and a good addition to your brand-new and improved wardrobe.

Metallic trousers were also spotted on the catwalk in the spring-summer shows, but not everyone can pull off metallic trousers well. Probably best not to try unless you have bags of confidence.

Make Your Favorite Items Work

While we are all in favor of getting rid of garments you no longer wear, it makes zero sense to go too crazy. Chances are you have plenty of classic items that work well, whatever the season. Jeans are a good example of this. Jeans styles come and go but classic-cut jeans are never out of style. Nothing beats a pair of well-worn and much-loved jeans.

In the spring, you can style your jeans with a trendy peplum top or oversized white blouse, topped with a bomber jacket and accessorized with a pair of cute ballet pumps. You’ll look trendy and stylish while making the most of your trusty jeans.

Accessorize Like a Pro

Even if you can’t afford to buy a bunch of new outfits, don’t panic. Shop for a few pretty accessories and use these to change the look of the garments you already own. Scarves, necklaces, hats, and over-the-knee socks can all be used to great advantage. Mix and match accessories with different garments, so the pieces you wore last spring look brand-new all over again.

The tips above apply to your summer and winter wardrobe too, so make sure you apply them when the next season comes around.

Discover The World’s Smallest “Mountain” – The Mount Paltry

Discover The World’s Smallest “Mountain” – The Mount Paltry Move over Everest, there’s a new headline-grabber in town and it’s barely taller than you are. Mount Paltry has exploded on social media as the world’s smallest mountain , a tiny bump in Australia that has become internet-famous precisely because it looks… well, not very mountain-like at all. In a world obsessed with extreme hikes and record-breaking peaks, this modest mound has captured global attention by doing the exact opposite: being proudly underwhelming. Where on Earth Is Mount Paltry? Mount Paltry is described in viral posts as a miniature mountain in Australia, rising only a few metres above the surrounding land. It’s usually shown as a small, rounded rise in an otherwise flat landscape the kind of bump you might expect to call a hill, or even “just a bit of ground,” rather than a mountain. That’s exactly why people love it: the contrast between the dramatic title “world’s smallest mountain” and the very ordinar...

Glamorous Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dresses in Beautiful Styles

Glamorous Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dresses in Beautiful Styles Did you know that over 67% of women in the U.S. wear a size 14 or larger? Yet, despite the demand, the fashion industry has been slow to provide elegant, well-fitting, and on-trend plus- size wedding guest dresses. Many women face limited choices, ill-fitting designs, and outdated silhouettes that fail to highlight their curves. Shopping for the perfect dress can feel like navigating a minefield either the options lack style, the fit is off, or the available dresses don’t align with the formality of the event. For years, plus-size women have been told to “hide” their curves instead of celebrating them. Traditional formalwear often lacks the structure, comfort, or aesthetic appeal needed to make plus-size wedding guests feel just as glamorous as their straight-size counterparts. The frustration of sifting through uninspiring racks, struggling with restrictive fabrics, or settling for ill- proportioned designs is all too fami...
