4.18 Friday Faves

4.18 Friday Faves

Hi friends! Happy Friday! What’s going on this weekend? We’re meeting up with friends at Mt. Lemmon, P has a basketball game, and Sunday, we’re celebrating Easter and my brother Trevor’s 30th bday with the fam. The Pilot has been traveling a ton, so we’re looking forward to having him home for *most* of the weekend.

Our Spring Forward challenge starts on MONDAY. If you’re looking for a little wellness reset, this is the perfect opportunity. Sign up here – it’s totally free and everything is delivered to your inbox.

It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the comments section below.

4.18 Friday Faves

Fashion + beauty + random:

Wrapped up a second week of homeschooling. Did the usual subjects and for P’s science project, she worked on an egg drop.

NCL Senior Recognition! They hosted a gorgeous garden party at Hacienda del Sol, and it was the perfect way to celebrate graduating seniors. Liv and I have really enjoyed our experience with NCL this year. It’s given us the opportunity to participate and volunteer in the community, while providing leadership opportunities for Liv, new cultural experiences, and the opportunity to make new friends.

This dress is from last summer but this year’s version is here:

Our roses have been blooming like crazy! They smell amaaaaaazing.

A roundup of reader faves from March! It’s always fun to go back through analytics and see what the bestsellers were each month.

Here are your top picks:

Vivarays! I can’t wait to hear about what you think about these. I’m loving them! (My code is FITNESSISTA)

This super cute Rails dress.

This gorgeous Anthro top.

My current fave lipstick.

These embellished flats – I’ve been wearing them nonstop.

Souper cubes. I love using these to freeze leftovers and it’s also how I freeze Maisey’s homemade dog food.

The Lotus Shoes. If you love historical fiction, I highly recommend this one.

My go-to weighted vest.

The best alarm clock + sound machine.

This super cute puff-sleeve dress.

This summer lounge set.

This Zimmermann-esque dress.

This shoe protection spray. This is a hit every month because it works SO well. I use it for all of our sneakers and it helps the kids’ shoes last a bit longer.

The best red light face mask (code is FITNESSISTA15)

The best eyeshadow primer.

These flattering and inexpensive jeans.

The best magnesium oil.

This pour-over coffee maker. I use this for my Danger Coffee every morning 🙂

Canopy humidifiers. These are the absolute best, and especially helpful during this dry season. My code is FITNESSISTA. They sent us their new faucet filter and I’m so excited to install it this weekend. I know it will be amazing to filter our water for washing our faces and brushing our teeth.

This Amazon tennis bracelet. This was recommended in a Facebook group and since it was only $20, I decided to give it a try. It’s SO GOOD.

The best thing to ever come out of ChatGPT:

Read, watch, listen:

Just finished this book yesterday and cried. Was one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. If you’ve read A Thousand Spendid Suns or The Kite Runner, definitely add this to your list.

Graphic novels for kids.

Fitness, health, and good eats:

Sucker Punch sent us some of these pickles and the kids have eaten almost all of them. Such a fun idea if you’re looking for electrolytes but hate the taste of coconut water.

If you’re looking for a great travel workout, try Sculpt Society. My link gets you 1 month free on the app and I do these workouts at least once a week when I want something quick at home that will give me a great workout.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! Have an amazing weekend and I’ll see ya soon!

xoxo

Gina

Discover The World’s Smallest “Mountain” – The Mount Paltry

Discover The World’s Smallest “Mountain” – The Mount Paltry Move over Everest, there’s a new headline-grabber in town and it’s barely taller than you are. Mount Paltry has exploded on social media as the world’s smallest mountain , a tiny bump in Australia that has become internet-famous precisely because it looks… well, not very mountain-like at all. In a world obsessed with extreme hikes and record-breaking peaks, this modest mound has captured global attention by doing the exact opposite: being proudly underwhelming. Where on Earth Is Mount Paltry? Mount Paltry is described in viral posts as a miniature mountain in Australia, rising only a few metres above the surrounding land. It’s usually shown as a small, rounded rise in an otherwise flat landscape the kind of bump you might expect to call a hill, or even “just a bit of ground,” rather than a mountain. That’s exactly why people love it: the contrast between the dramatic title “world’s smallest mountain” and the very ordinar...

Glamorous Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dresses in Beautiful Styles

Glamorous Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dresses in Beautiful Styles Did you know that over 67% of women in the U.S. wear a size 14 or larger? Yet, despite the demand, the fashion industry has been slow to provide elegant, well-fitting, and on-trend plus- size wedding guest dresses. Many women face limited choices, ill-fitting designs, and outdated silhouettes that fail to highlight their curves. Shopping for the perfect dress can feel like navigating a minefield either the options lack style, the fit is off, or the available dresses don’t align with the formality of the event. For years, plus-size women have been told to “hide” their curves instead of celebrating them. Traditional formalwear often lacks the structure, comfort, or aesthetic appeal needed to make plus-size wedding guests feel just as glamorous as their straight-size counterparts. The frustration of sifting through uninspiring racks, struggling with restrictive fabrics, or settling for ill- proportioned designs is all too fami...

Sculpt Society Review

Sculpt Society Review Sharing my thoughts on Sculpt Society and if I’d recommend this workout! For today’s post, I’m excited to share an updated review on one of my all-time favorite workouts! I was ad-targeted for this one forever, and since I always love trying new body workouts and absolutely love dance cardio, I figured I’d give it a whirl about a year ago. This workout program was founded by Megan Roup ( you can check out her Instagram here ) and I’ll share a full review below. Heads up that this review isn’t sponsored; I signed up for a 7-day free trial and am still a paying happy member over a year later. I’ve tried a lottttt of fitness apps in my routine and am always pumped when I find a winner. You can use my referral link to get a 7-day trial plus one month free on the fitness app! Sculpt Society Review What Is Sculpt Society? As I mentioned above, Sculpt Society was created by celebrity trainer Megan Roup and is a blend of dance cardio, barre, Pilates, and traditiona...
