2.13 Friday Faves

2.13 Friday Faves

Hi friends! Happy Friday! How are you? What’s going on this weekend? Any Valentine’s plans?
We have a fun weekend planned here: a date night with the Pilot, our symphony show, P’s basketball tournament, and Liv has a Valentine’s dance at school. Lots of fun stuff! In between that, I’m studying for our centurion program with IHP, and batch recording podcast episodes. Let’s goooooo.

I’d love to hear what you have going on!

(There’s a trend to ask ChatGPT to make a caricature of you and your job based on what they know about you. I feel like it nailed it lol.)

It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party. This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the comments section below.

(Lola wanted to tell you that she’s looking more poodle-y by the day. When she was a baby, she looked pure golden retriever but the poodle is definitely coming out. Also, these little date bites are the perfect sweet bite if you like something sweet after a meal.)

2.13 Friday Faves

Fashion, beauty, random:

I’ve gotten so many compliments on this dress. It’s Ulla Johnson from my Rent the Runway membership. You can try it out and get 50% off your first month here!

Sad to send this bag back to Vivrelle but excited for the Hermés bag that’s on the way. You can try it for one month free here with the code GINAHARNEY

Nails from my friends at Glamnetic!

I usually do dip nails but when they offered a gifting, I accepted because Liv loves press-on nails.

Look how great they turned out:

We babysat our little neice last weekend and I took her to Wild Katz for the first time. She loved it!!

On the not-so-fun side of things… we had a mold company come out to assess the house after I found some mold in the bathroom. I’ve followed Mold Finders on IG forever and when a friend mentioned that she had a positive experience with their company, I booked a consult call and an inspection.

I opened a giant can of worms because we found other spots while they were here – under two of the sinks in the back and a sketchy spot by P’s air vent in her room. It’s going to be costly to get it all removed but mold can have major health implications so here we go.

Diego was super thorough and friendly and did a great job with the inpection and sampling process.

The best part is that they run labs on the samples so they know exactly what type of mold it is and can give a complete action plan to the remediation company.

Read, watch, listen:

Took the crew (the girls + one of Liv’s best friends) to see the Stray Kids concert in movie theatres. It was surprisingly amazing. I accidentally know a lot about K Pop from Liv’s music taste, but I have to say, most of it HITS.

New Substack post here with my weekly workout split.

Check out this week’s podcast episode! We’re chatting perimenopause and nervous system support.

Fitness, health, and good eats:

Daily Nutritional Support has a new flavor! I have this in my protein pudding every day because it’s packed with antixoidants, vitamins, minerals, and has 15g of protein. I add Truvani to it so I get about 30g of protein in my breakfast. I usually have the chocolate but can’t wait to try the Wild Strawberry – mine with be here today.

Try this no repeats HIIT workout.

Homemade gelatin gummies for gut health:

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! Have an amazing weekend and I’ll see ya soon!

xoxo

Gina

Discover The World’s Smallest “Mountain” – The Mount Paltry

Discover The World’s Smallest “Mountain” – The Mount Paltry Move over Everest, there’s a new headline-grabber in town and it’s barely taller than you are. Mount Paltry has exploded on social media as the world’s smallest mountain , a tiny bump in Australia that has become internet-famous precisely because it looks… well, not very mountain-like at all. In a world obsessed with extreme hikes and record-breaking peaks, this modest mound has captured global attention by doing the exact opposite: being proudly underwhelming. Where on Earth Is Mount Paltry? Mount Paltry is described in viral posts as a miniature mountain in Australia, rising only a few metres above the surrounding land. It’s usually shown as a small, rounded rise in an otherwise flat landscape the kind of bump you might expect to call a hill, or even “just a bit of ground,” rather than a mountain. That’s exactly why people love it: the contrast between the dramatic title “world’s smallest mountain” and the very ordinar...

Glamorous Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dresses in Beautiful Styles

Glamorous Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dresses in Beautiful Styles Did you know that over 67% of women in the U.S. wear a size 14 or larger? Yet, despite the demand, the fashion industry has been slow to provide elegant, well-fitting, and on-trend plus- size wedding guest dresses. Many women face limited choices, ill-fitting designs, and outdated silhouettes that fail to highlight their curves. Shopping for the perfect dress can feel like navigating a minefield either the options lack style, the fit is off, or the available dresses don’t align with the formality of the event. For years, plus-size women have been told to “hide” their curves instead of celebrating them. Traditional formalwear often lacks the structure, comfort, or aesthetic appeal needed to make plus-size wedding guests feel just as glamorous as their straight-size counterparts. The frustration of sifting through uninspiring racks, struggling with restrictive fabrics, or settling for ill- proportioned designs is all too fami...
