2.6 Friday Faves

2.6 Friday Faves

Hi friends! Happy Friday! How are you? What are you up to this weekend? We’re babysitting our little neice Daisy, going to P’s basketball game, celebrating EJ’s birthday and watching the Bad Bunny concert aka the Superbowl. I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead!

I didn’t mean to disappear around here this week, but…. it was one of those weeks. I was swamped with client appointments and calls (which I love!!) but one of the girls was sick, we found mold in our bathroom (inspectors are coming on Monday), something else happened behind the scenes (everyone is fine but it was just something we were not expecting) aaaaand my Paypal was hacked for the fourth time within a month. (Using a crazy password + an autheticator app.) I ended up canceling my account because their security has gotten so bad. So yeah. That’s what’s been happening over here; I don’t have many fun or exciting things to report lol, buuuuuuuut

in the spirit of looking at the bright side, it’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party. This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your faves, too, so please shout out something you’re loving in the comments section below.

2.6 Friday Faves

Fashion, beauty, random:

this Shark hair dryer.

I’ve looked at getting a Dyson for years now but couldn’t bring it in myself to spend $500 on a hair dryer. My hair is long and pretty thick, and I didn’t want to spend two jeans and a cute dress for something that might not work for my hair. I heard rave reviews about the Shark Flex Fusion, and when I saw it at Costco for $279, I went for it. I’m not exaggerating that it has already changed my life and my children’s lives.

It gave me a salon-worthy blowout on the first try in about 25 minutes. I used it to straighten both of the girls’ hair and it looked AMAZING. I’ll definitely share a tutorial here on the blog soon!

Lola took her first walk! The vet gave us the all clear last week and she looooved it. I was worried she’d think the leash and harness were attacking her, but she’s been a pro since day 1.

She also actually ate P’s homework. I showed the picture to her teacher after school – she got a good laugh out of it – so that P could get a replacement.

Some little February goodies for the girls:

(plushies, heart jammies, and chocolates)

A new candle warmer:

(using this Oak Essentials candle)

Lace top from RTR:

(my link gets you 50% off your first month)

Read, watch, listen:

Working through this book for our Candida, Metabolic and Vitamins mentorship:

Started the new Bridgerton season and SO GLAD it’s back. Are you watching?!

This podcast episode was excellent. This was one of the first books I read about personal finance post-college so it was pretty cool to hear David Bach’s voice. (I downloaded this one after listening to the podcast episode.)

Fitness, health, and good eats:

Wrapping up my first quarterly detox of the year. While it has been a little challenging – I wanted to face dive into some chocolate after the Paypal disaster, let me tell ya – I feel great. I haven’t gotten a ton of sleep this week, but it’s been quality sleep, I’ve had energy, and it’s made me remember that eating lots of bright veggies and fiber is a good thing.

(detox pizza with ground chicken crust, lots of veggies, and tofu *cheese*)

Lumebox sale is live!! You can get 45% off through Sunday using this link. I use this every morning while I check emails and it’s the perfect boost. I also use it for so many different things, like aches and pains, period cramps,

A new rose humidifier from my friends at Canopy. Isn’t it gorgeous?! I run our Canopy humifier every night and the girls have them in their rooms, too. I think it makes a huge difference during the winter, but also because it’s so dry here in AZ. It definitely helps my skin, eyes, and hair. Use FITNESSISTA here! They work amazingly well and they’re easy to clean, mold inhibiting technology, and you can also add aroma pucks with included essential oils.

If you’re looking for Superbowl recipes, try this dairy-free buffalo chicken dip!

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! Have an amazing weekend and I’ll see ya soon!

xoxo

Gina

Discover The World’s Smallest “Mountain” – The Mount Paltry

Discover The World’s Smallest “Mountain” – The Mount Paltry Move over Everest, there’s a new headline-grabber in town and it’s barely taller than you are. Mount Paltry has exploded on social media as the world’s smallest mountain , a tiny bump in Australia that has become internet-famous precisely because it looks… well, not very mountain-like at all. In a world obsessed with extreme hikes and record-breaking peaks, this modest mound has captured global attention by doing the exact opposite: being proudly underwhelming. Where on Earth Is Mount Paltry? Mount Paltry is described in viral posts as a miniature mountain in Australia, rising only a few metres above the surrounding land. It’s usually shown as a small, rounded rise in an otherwise flat landscape the kind of bump you might expect to call a hill, or even “just a bit of ground,” rather than a mountain. That’s exactly why people love it: the contrast between the dramatic title “world’s smallest mountain” and the very ordinar...

Glamorous Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dresses in Beautiful Styles

Glamorous Plus-Size Wedding Guest Dresses in Beautiful Styles Did you know that over 67% of women in the U.S. wear a size 14 or larger? Yet, despite the demand, the fashion industry has been slow to provide elegant, well-fitting, and on-trend plus- size wedding guest dresses. Many women face limited choices, ill-fitting designs, and outdated silhouettes that fail to highlight their curves. Shopping for the perfect dress can feel like navigating a minefield either the options lack style, the fit is off, or the available dresses don’t align with the formality of the event. For years, plus-size women have been told to “hide” their curves instead of celebrating them. Traditional formalwear often lacks the structure, comfort, or aesthetic appeal needed to make plus-size wedding guests feel just as glamorous as their straight-size counterparts. The frustration of sifting through uninspiring racks, struggling with restrictive fabrics, or settling for ill- proportioned designs is all too fami...
